International Conference on Smart Cities and Regions: call for abstract

Between 22 and 24 March 2017, SINFONIA project partner EURAC will organise the second edition of the international conference on Smart and Sustainable Planning for Cities and Regions aiming to “inspire cities to transition towards a smarter and more sustainable future”. The objective of the event is to bring together academics, researchers, professional stakeholders and decision-makers to discuss challenges related to energy planning and sustainability in cities and regions.

 

During the event, findings in various research fields - from urban planning to social sciences – related to smart energy planning and technologies, will be presented and debated with the participants. Additionally, the event will offer the opportunity for researchers and professionals to get together and discuss future project ideas in this field.

 

Interested actors are invited to submit an abstract related to one or several of the following thematic dimensions that will be covered during the event:

 

-          Smart planning for adaptation and mitigation

-          ICT, Spaces & Society

-          Next economy for the cities

-          Strategies and actions for good governance

-          Urban-rural innovative relationships

-          Rethinking mobility

-          Smart and Sustainable City Implementation & Education

 

Please note that the deadline for abstract submission is 18 December 2016.
