As part of the Rosenheim’s railway station renovation project, a bike parking garage with around 900 parking spots was constructed at the Eastern side of Südtiroler Platz. A two-storey bike rack system, equipped with damping systems and gas pressure springs, was installed to optimise the space in the new parking spot. Charging points for electric bikes are available as well. A green roof will be built on the roof of the building. The long-term behaviour of the planting is being investigated within the framework of the research project BUOLUS. Construction started in June 2019 and the opening will take place in late summer 2020.
